How Will We Create New Jobs?

Cutting taxes doesn't work. The governments of most states are strapped or bankrupt with the tax dollars they have now, cutting taxes will make matters worse. We have to eliminate the fear of government, Ronald Reagan was wrong, less government regulation is not good. Ask Mr. Greenspan about free markets, he is smart enough to disregard fifty years of believing erroneously that bankers can self regulate their greed. There is good government, bad government and little government. We've seen the ramifications of the last of the the three and should know the difference between the first and the second and demand good government. the more you pay the people working in government the better quality you have. With no taxes we can't pay them enough and get the lowest common denominator.

Perhaps not the fastest way to create jobs but certainly the best is to invest in our education of the youth. We've failed at the education of our children and several generations of mostly coddled and spoiled kids won't be innovating to create new businesses. The old template is wrong and a new, even radically, new template has to be used. There are hopeful signs of innovation in the field, charter schools can be alternatives.

We should be paying more taxes and force the government to be transparent and efficient. A society with a sensible safety net for it's citizens and who pays for excellent education and teachers will be a safer, more resilient and stronger society and better able to cope with the rough ride the world is in for in the future. There are enough countries that have proven this works. We can't speak in stereotypical rhetoric and sloganism. Blind nationalism is for idiots we need to be realists. We need to think in twenty or thirty year blocks instead of two or four year blocks of time.
